Harpaul Sandhu, DVM

Dr. Harpaul Sandhu graduated and received his veterinary degree from Punjab Agricultural University in 2009. Dr. Harpaul Sandhu has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Bay Area, California since 2010. Dr. Sandhu worked in the corporate field and private practices. Prior to 2010, he also volunteered his time at animal shelters in San Joaquin County.

Dr. Sandhu has extensive experience in soft tissue surgery and a background in orthopedic surgeries such as patella luxation, TPLO, femoral head ostectomy, in addition to general preventive pet care. He is also an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the California Veterinary Medical Association.

To further pursue his passion in animal care, he decided to humbly take full responsibility as the owner of Ygnacio Animal Hospital here in Walnut Creek CA. He, along with his dedicated team of doctors and staff, strive to provide the best care possible for pets and their owners.

“When I am not devoting my time to providing optimal care for my patients’ health at the hospital, I spend my time with my beautiful wife and adorable daughter along with my two rottweilers and a rescue pup named Coconut. In my free time, I enjoy watching basketball and football. I am truly a very family oriented man. I believe our companions play a very special role in our lives creating a unique bond between owners and their pets’.”

Harvinder Sandhu, DVM


Dr. Harvinder Sandhu graduated and received her veterinary degree from Punjab Agricultural University in 2009. She is been practicing in the Bay Area since 2010. She has a special interest in internal medicine cases, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. She shares the ownership of Ygnacio Animal hospital with her husband. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her husband, their adorable 4-year-old daughter and 2 crazy Rottweilers



Diana Beam, DVM, CVFT

Linda Wong, DVM

Dr. Wong’s interest in veterinary medicine was sparked by a childhood in Iowa surrounded by all sorts of
animals, ranging from dogs and cats to pigs and horses. She received her undergraduate degree at UCB
and returned to Iowa for her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After veterinary school, she couldn’t
resist the wonderful weather and good food and returned to California. Since moving to California
she has practiced small animal veterinary medicine in Northern California, first in San Mateo and then in
San Francisco before moving to Contra Costa County almost 15 years ago to raise her family. She is the
proud parent of two children and an aging but still vibrant Australian Cattle Dog. When not practicing
veterinary medicine, she enjoys her family, travel, gardening and eating out.

Charisse, Hospital Manager

Charisse received her education from an AVMA accredited school for Veterinary Technicians and obtained her
Associate’s Degree in Animal Science. She began working with animals immediately after graduating in 2010.
Charisse started at Ygnacio Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Technician and grew with the hospital over the years.
Today she serves the wonderful clients and patients at YAH and looks forward to working every day!
Grew up in the Bay Area and resides with her husband, children, two dogs, and a selective hearing tuxedo cat.
She passionately works with pride and dedication in remembrance of her childhood American Eskimo, Jordan.

Courtney, Veterinary Technician

Courtney started at Ygnacio Animal Hospital in 2016 and has been in the field about over 11 years. Courtney went to school and is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has worked in every aspect of the hospital, from receptionist to management. She loves all animals and thinks of herself as an auntie to all fur babies that she comes in connect with. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her daughter and her bur babies.







Shiyan, Veterinary Assistant

Shiyan is mother of one little cute girl and wife. She’s an advocate for animals and very passionate about their well-being.
She’s passionate and loving towards stray animals, another individual pet as well as her own.
She was fortunate to form a bond with her beloved “Keeno” (Golden Retriever of 12 years) that was there from middle school to having a family.
Unfortunately, he has passed on. Shiyan now owns another sweet Golden Retriever – Keelo and Richie (Jack Russell Terrier)
who’s full of attitude. In memory of her best friend “Keeno”, she now dedicates her life to the happiness of animals.
